Sharing On Remedies For Bacterial Vaginosis

February 28, 2010

If you are one of the thousands of women who suffer from Bacterial Vaginosis frequently, and are simply tired of dealing with the side effects of taking antibiotics several times a year, then home remedies for bacterial vaginosis can make a real difference in your life. All that you need to do is seriously spend some time to find the right combination of home remedies that works for you, and stick with the solution.

What Works

There are several options that can be very helpful in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. One of the most common, and most effective, is yogurt. Yogurt has live cultures, which can help you to re-balance the pH in the vaginal area, to drive out the anaerobic bacteria that are causing the symptoms to appear. You can add plain yogurt to your diet to help maintain a healthy pH, but you will want to make sure there is no added sugar, which can fuel a bacterial vaginosis infection.

You can also find all natural cures in your local health food stores, which will have items to help promote vaginal health and even treat BV infections. Please be warned, you won’t want to use these items if you are pregnant without consulting your doctor, even if the product contains only herbal or all natural ingredients.

All Natural Remedies

You can also purchase over the counter remedies, such as gentian violet and beta-dine, that can work as home remedies for bacterial vaginosis. Be advised and use these products carefully, since they will stain both skin (temporarily) and clothing (permanently). To use these products, you can soak a tampon in the liquid, and apply it to the affected area for a few hours. Remember to wash your hands after handling the gentian violet, to help prevent some staining.

Remember that if your symptoms worsen, or if you think you might be allergic to the beta-dine or gentian violet, then you will need to find an alternative treatment. Some controversial treatments, such as douches, should be used according to your personal experience. Some women find that these kinds of treatments make their symptoms worse, while other find them helpful.

Treating Symptoms

Some of the most common symptoms of bacterial vaginitis are swelling, redness and localized discomfort. If you are experiencing these symptoms, you can use a cool washcloth on the affected area, or take a warm bath. Remember to clean the tub carefully before and after you use it, however, to avoid introducing more bacteria into the vagina. You should also avoid soaps, bubble baths, and other chemicals, since they remove the natural, helpful oils from the skin.

There are many different home remedies for bacterial vaginosis, but the best one is the one that you can use effectively. It may take a few tries to find the treatments that work best for you, whether alone or in combination with other treatments.

Cures For Vaginitis

February 28, 2010

The most common way to rid yourself of the nuisance of a Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) infection is to promptly make an appointment with your physician or GYN at the first sign of the symptoms. The symptoms of bacterial vaginosis can vary but the main symptoms are the same, women will have a discharge that is grayish in color although sometimes white, the discharge is watery unlike the thicker discharge associated with a yeast infection, sufferers can have itching and swelling around the vagina and even stomach pains.

The treatment of BV is a seven-day regimen of antibiotics, either metronidazole or clindamycin. Please be aware that metronidazole has been banned all across Europe because it has been shown to cause cancer in animals. Both of these antibiotics can be taken in pill form, which you will swallow, gel, or cream, which is applied to the outside area of the vagina or by the use of capsules (ovules) that are inserted into the vaginia. If you are pregnant, you will have to take the pill form of the antibiotic.

If you take antibiotics for your bacterial vaginosis treatment you must always complete the whole course for them to take effect. Although not known why, there is generally a reoccurrence of BV. If you do have recurrent bacterial vaginosis, generally you have a couple of choices, you can take another course of antibiotics or you can try another home or natural treatment its up to you. Either way, do not be surprised if you do have a reoccurrence.

It is often thought that tight panties, jeans and the wearing of a thong is one of the contribting factors of BV infections. Underwear can help spread bacteria, the cloth rubs between the anus and the vagina which in turn spreads bacteria. remedy for bacterial vaginosis.

Good hygiene is essential you must get in to a good routine, it may seem straight forward but sometimes is over looked. Although most women ages 15 to 44 are susceptible to BV, it is also possible for virgins and pre-pubescent girls to contract BV. The cause as to why is not known.

It is thought that one in three women will develop the bacterial vaginosis infection at some point in their lifetime. In addition to the physical discomfort and symptoms, BV disrupts a woman’s quality of life. So to be completely free of bacterial vaginosis for good and avoid recurrence you can follow some or all of the advice offered in this article.

There are some over the counter remedies that you can try to rid yourself of this nuisance infection. As an example products that containing tea tree oil and which hazel. They work in much the same way as antibiotics. You can even add yogurt to your everyday diet to help with the pH balance and manage the bacteria level within the vagins.

Young Con Anthem

February 28, 2010

Official Site:

Join Young Conservatives on Facebook:

Check out:

http://twitter.com/YoungCons

Young Conservatives is a group with a devout mission to spread the love and logic surrounding true conservatism. Our greatest enemy lies in the lack of understanding of the conservative movement. In a technological era driven fiercely by the main stream media, those who vocalize the true conservative message of individual responsibility, moral absolutes, and small government are slanted as intolerant, racist, “bible and gun clinging”, corporate fat cats who could not care less about the environment nor the well being of their fellow man. Being Christian or conservative or a combination of the two is viewed as unpopular in American Society. This group clearly proves otherwise. Do not feel afraid or silenced, and always speak your mind.

The inaccurate manifestations of conservatism cloud the real mettle in its core. Flawed politicians lay on both sides of the political spectrum, however, we believe the core conservative principles of Ronald Reagan and the founding fathers are needed to give the power back to the individual and rescue this economy. Young Conservatives should boldly ask questions about the past in order to learn about the best strategies for the future. We ask ourselves how MLK and Jesus would feel about the current state of affairs in this county. All that we can do is look to the principles and values that were held dear to our past leaders and decide for ourselves which ideology they seem to resemble.

Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. King was no stalwart conservative, yet his core beliefs, such as the power and necessity of faith-based association and self-government based on absolute truth and moral law, are profoundly conservative. Modern liberalism rejects these ideas, while conservatives place them at the center of their philosophy. Despite decades of its appropriation by liberals, Kings message was fundamentally conservative. 2

Not one place in the Bible did Jesus advocate it was the function of government to do what loving human beings ought to do on their own. As noted above, conservatives are not opposed to social programs. We shed our blood, donate our time, apply our labor, and voluntarily redistribute our income to the poor… Jesus was a conservative because he promoted charitable giving on behalf of individuals, not government. Jesus was a conservative because he promoted the hard work and success of the individual, not the legislative body of the government. Jesus was a conservative he saw giving as a ministry of the gospel, not a secular and spiritless exercise of government in order to level the economic playing field… It takes a lot more to give from your personal resources than it does to compel others to give through taxation. 1

The Young Cons believe the Bible is relatively silent on issues relating to supply-side economics, taxation and the proper role of government in our society. We are just sharing the different origins of our personal beliefs and are honored to have the chance to defend them on a massive scale.

The goals of Young Conservatives, recently dubbed “Young Cons”, is to promote constructive debate and grow intellectually. Rather than bashing viewpoints that deviate ideologically, the purpose is to make both sides of the aisle think critically about their respective political and moral beliefs.

Ultimately, people will not listen to a man or woman shouting forceful and rude statements, no matter how “correct” said statements may be. True conservative views will hold up in any ideological debate, and turning positive discussion into hate propaganda and name calling is unacceptable. For real change to occur we must do as Jesus did and love those of opposing views with all our hearts. Once this happens our fiscal and social views will be easily recognized as undeniable truth.

Please post any good articles you’ve come across, books you’ve read, videos you’ve seen, or sound bites you have heard. The real views of change are making a comeback! You can either love us or hate us, but either way we love you and respect you as a fellow human being. Certain philosophical views of current politicians could not be more opposite than mine, but this changes nothing of my feelings for them as human beings as well as brothers and sisters under God.
Young Conservatives is not attempting to force their religious beliefs onto anyone, but rather encourage discussion among the American youth. They do not claim to have all the right answers, but merely try to express their views through music. Our goal is to get young Americans excited about politics.
